There are lots of ways for men to stay healthy and reduce their risks of the top cancers -- skin cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer and colorectal cancer.

So what can dads do to stay in tip-top shape and avoid dealing with the crazy C?
These tips aren't just appropriate for cancer avoidance; they're great for overall fitness and wellness.
So here we go. Dads, please -
- If you do smoke, please, please give it up.
- Smokers, please call 1-800-Quit-Now for help quitting once and for all.
- Try adding more fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet.
- Eat lots of colors from the garden.
- Limit red meats, pork or lamb to once or twice a week.
- Try leaving the high fat stuff alone - the hot dogs, bacon, the processed meats.
- Go easy on the high-fat dairy products like cheese.
- Move. Start at five minutes a day and move up from there.
- Strive for 30-45 minutes of physical activity every day.
- Talk to your doctor about what cancer screenings are appropriate for you.
- Plan to have your first colorectal cancer test at age 50.
