Bathroom Safety Tips
You may not think that your shower curtain could be harmful to your health but, according to a study from the Center for Health, Environment & Justice, as many as 100 chemicals can be found in many vinyl shower curtains and liners. Vinyl shower curtains can contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phthalates and organotins — all of which are toxic to humans and animals. These chemicals can cause damage to the nervous system, liver and kidneys, so stick to shower curtains made of polyester, cotton or nylon instead.
