Body Art Safety
If you have a tattoo, it’s important to wear sunscreen to protect the ink from fading. A water-based lotion is preferred, as petroleum-based lotions may also fade the ink. Keep an eye on your new tattoo or piercing, taking notice of any skin reactions or changes such as increased redness, pain, fever, scarring, sun sensitivity, rashes or itchiness. If these changes occur, call your doctor.
