Get Vaccinated For HPV

The HPV vaccine protects against the human papillomavirus, or HPV, which is the cause of almost all cervical cancers. HPV can cause cancer of the anus, vagina, and cancers related to the head and neck. The vaccination is recommended primarily for preteen girls ages 11 to 12, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it’s useful for women as old as 26.
