The Sunscreen Breakdown: What's Really in the Bottle?

Water Resistance

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends that everyone use sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30, one that is broad-spectrum and water-resistant. Because water can easily wash off most sunscreens and increase skin’s exposure to the sun’s harmful rays, water resistance is important. Make sure to allow the skin to absorb the sunscreen completely before going in the water.
