Yoga and Bipolar Disorder

Patients with bipolar disorder can help reduce their mood swings with yoga, according to a study from Brown University in Providence, RI. Researchers found that yoga may help those with bipolar disorder feel calmer and relieve depression — a common symptom of bipolar disorder. Yoga may also increase mindfulness and reduce the negative emotional effects of the disorder.
