Yoga may improve sleep quality by helping someone fall asleep faster, sleep longer and fall back asleep quicker. Yoga may also improve the oxygenation of tissues which results in increased energy and better sleep quality. One study from the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY, found that cancer survivors who practiced yoga regularly used less sleep aid medications.
