Your Diet & ADHD

Oligoantigenic (Hypoallergenic/Elimination) Diet

This diet eliminates common food allergens such as milk, cheese, wheat, eggs, chocolate, nuts, and citrus fruits. This elimination is done in phases, which may determine which foods affect the ADHD patient. This process is performed best under the supervision of a doctor or dietitian. It had successful results in alleviating ADHD symptoms in some studies, such as The Impact of Nutrition on Children with ADHD study from the Netherlands.
